Lyanne Vaughan

Graduated with a degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alberta in 1991.  Since that time, she has primarily worked in work rehabilitation or private practice.  Her experience includes employment in a chronic pain clinic, development of a WCB early intervention program in the Yukon, as an on-site occupational therapist for CN Rail, as well as part-time practice in Home Care.  She has been operating this Vaughan Occupational Consulting business from the East Kootenays since 1995.  Her practice has involved working primarily in the areas of medical legal assessments (Functional Capacity Evaluations and Cost of Care Reports), ergonomics, return to work rehabilitation, chronic pain, activation programs and exposure programs for mental health, concussion, and traumatic brain injury.  Lyanne has been a Certified Work Capacity Evaluator for over 10 years, is a PGAP provider, is a Level 2 Shift Concussion Management provider, and has taken certification courses in Life Care Planning. She has also completed Prolonged Exposure training to assist with anxiety and trauma, and Cognitive FCE training through Matheson’s & Associates. She has been qualified as an expert witness in the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

Shelby Herman

Graduated with a Master of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of British Columbia in 2012 and has post-graduate certification in Chronic Pain Management from the University of Alberta. Her experience includes private practice work providing assessment and treatment in the area of medical legal reports, return to work, neurological impairment, traumatic brain injuries, concussion, chronic pain conditions, and mental health. She has also worked in acute care and community occupational therapy and has experience in a multi-disciplinary return to work rehabilitation program, inpatient rehabilitation, and forensic rehabilitation. Shelby is a Matheson certified Functional Capacity Evaluator, and is a Level 2 Shift Concussion Management.

Diana Zmijak

Graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2003 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Occupational Therapy. She has been practicing in the East Kootenay’s since that time. She has experience in Acquired Brain Injury management and rehabilitation, Community Home Health, Acute Care, Residential Care and Slow Stream Rehabilitation (Convalescent Care). She has experience working with a diverse population and various settings.

Jillian Watson

Graduated with a Master of Occupational Therapy degree from Western University in 2014. Jillian has experience working in acute medical, community health, and facility-based rehabilitation settings. Since beginning private practice in 2017, she has been working with individuals with musculoskeletal/orthopaedic injuries, chronic pain, mental health, and concussion/traumatic brain injury(TBI). She has experience completing ergonomic assessments, Functional Capacity Evaluations, and return to work planning.

Michelle Milligan

Graduated with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2011. Her career has allowed her to work in a variety of clinical settings from long term care, acute care, mental health, and community health. Michelle spent several years of her career working in Neuro rehabilitation at Foothills Medical Center. She has private practice experience in the area of return to work following brain injury, as well as with chronic pain injuries working with both WCB and WSBC stakeholders. Michelle’s experience in private practice includes providing ergonomic assessment, Functional Capacity Evaluations and Return to Work support services.

Jessica Callele

Graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2003. Jessica has had a diverse career including acute care, community care, psychiatry and private practice focusing on occupational rehabilitation. Jessica’s primary areas of expertise and interest are in mental health and trauma, home modifications/equipment, return to work rehabilitation and support, workplace ergonomics, and cognitive rehabilitation.
